    DENR widens inspections of coastal establishments

    DENR Regional Director Gilbert Gonzales said the task force will compel resort and commercial establishment owners to comply with the clean water act and solid waste management act. Gonzales said the task force was formed to protect the tourism destinations and ecological sites in Central Visayas. He said a team was sent to Mactan Island last March 2 to check on the sewage and wastewater facilities and garbage disposal systems of establishments along the coast.
