"We hope to upgrade the quality of dried seaweeds produced by local farmers in Caluya so they can demand a much higher price in the market," said Jose Divinagracia, director of Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Antique. Caluya is one of the areas in the country considered as a major producer of seaweeds, locally known as tambalang, due to its distinct location and vast shorelines conducive to seaweed farming.en
