The government-hosted Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC-AQD) in Tigbauan, Iloilo, launched an aquaculture textbook program to help solve the problem of dearth of locally-written textbook on the subject. SEAFDEC-AQD agreed to venture into the program on the request of the Iloilo State College of Fisheries (ISCOF) in Barotac Nuevo town at the recent launching of two AQD-published books during ISCOF's 22nd foundation anniversary celebration.
