A government-hosted Southeast Asian center based here has embarked on an aquaculture textbook-writing program. The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center-Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC-AQD) ventured into the program on the requests of the Iloilo State College of Fisheries (ISCOF) headed by its president. Dr. Elpidio Locsin, Jr. Barotac Nuevo based ISCOF requested SEAFDECAQD headed by its chief, Dr. Rolando R. Platon, in view of the agency's reputation of having the most number of experts in various fields of aquaculture.
