Three government and private entities have joined hands to undertake a program that will train local government units (LGU) officials and aquaculture specialists in coastal resource management and sustainable aquaculture. The program is called "Sustainable Aquaculture and Coastal Resource Management (SACRM)." Now implementing it are the government-hosted Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD) based here, the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (DA-BFAR), and PROCESS Foundation Panay.
