In observance pf [rpclamation No. 176, declaring the third week of October of every year as Fish Conservation Week, the BFAR 6 spearheads the celebration of the Fish Conservation Week 2000 on October 14-21, 2000 with the theme," Masaganang Pangisdaan, Matatag na Kinabukasn". The activity aims to create awareness on the proper conservation, utilization and management of our fishery and aquatic resources towards sustainable development and to ensure socio-economic upliftment of subsistence fisherfolk. As part of the week-long celebration, BFAR 6 will conduct the Agrikulturang MakaMasa Fisheries Extension Officers Symposium.
