A P431-million laboratory for advanced aquaculture technologies is now being established at the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center -Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD) based here. The establishment of the Japanese government-assisted biotechnology laboratory is a joint initiative of the Department of Agriculture (DA) and SEAFDEC AQD. It is scheduled to be completed in March 2003.
