Thirteen aquaculture and fisheries researchers won science awards conferred by the Los Baños Science Community (LBSC). The awardees received the 14th Dr. Elvira Tan Memorial awards, which carried cash prizes and plaques, during a recent program organized by LBSC during the celebration of Year 2000 National Science and Technology Week. Dr. Jurgenne Primavera of the Tigbauan, Iloilo-based Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD) won the Best Publisher Paper on Aquaculture.
