Platon as Chief of SEAFDEC Aquaculture Department for the period April 8, 2004 to April 7, 2006. This will become the fifth term of two years for Dr. Platon to head the international research center based in Tigbauan, Iloilo, Philippines. SEAFDEC Secretary General Niwes Ruangpanit informed Platon of the re-appointment after the SEAFDEC Council which unanimously affirmed the renomination by the Philippine government of Platon during the Council's 36th meeting in Bangkok, Thailand last April 6-9, 2004.en
