Red tide toxins remain in four bays of Samar Island as coastal waters are still positive for paralytic shellfish poisoning, the bureau of fisheries and aquatic resources said in its bulletin issued earlier this week. BFAR Regional Director Juan D. Albaladejo said their office and local government units are closely monitoring violations of shellfish ban, which prohibits gathering, consuming transporting of shellfish in affected areas.
