    Excerpt
Even while families of missing passenger of ill-fated MV Thomas Aquinas continue to hope against hope that their kinfolk would still be found alive, fisherfolk here are lamenting their loss of livelihood due to oil spilled from the 2Go shipping lines- owned ship that sank in waters off Cordova last August 16. Cordova Marine Water Protection chef Felix Pacaldo said there are some 5, 000 fishermen affected by the oil spill following the sea mishap. Although damage assessment is going on, the assessment of the damage is still ongoing, Pacald said daily income loss of fishermen from the town who average a daily net gain of P300, is pegged at some ₱1.5 million every day.
