The national program for Municipal Fisherfolk Registration (FishR) has been launched in Northern Mindanao or Region-10 at a hotel and a convention center here Wednesday, kicking off activities for the extensive implementation of the project in the country. "This national program of the Bureau of fisheries and aquatic resources (BFAR) that aims to facilitate, improve, and finalize the municipal fisherfolk registration in the whole country, under the existing fisheries code of 1998," said BFAR Director Asis G. Perez. He said the information to be acquired from the FishR is a great help to implement BFAR related programs.
