There is no question that reclaiming the shorelines to increase the land area of a community is beneficial. In fact, almost every country in the world had done some form of reclamation or another. But not all shorelines can be reclaimed for purposes of attaining some economic benefit because there are many factors to be considered. Not all places are the same. Reclaiming some would cause environmental disasters.
