There's a need to invest in preserving the river basins of Western Visayas, the top environmental official in the region said. "We're seeking investors both from the government and private sectors", said Jim Sampulna, regional director of Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR-6). In particular, DENR is pushing for better management of watersheds.
