    Excerpt
The provincial government and a Southeast Asian center here have agreed to work together in bringing back the native catfish (hito) to Iloilo's rivers and farms. A memorandum of agreement (MOA) for the implementation of a Native Catfish Reestablishment Project has been signed between the Iloilo provincial government, headed by Gov. Arthur Defensor, and the Tigbauan based, government-hosted Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD) headed by Dr. Rolando R. Platon. The project is under the Provincial Freshwater Fisheries Development Program (PFFDP).
