    Native catfish grows fast on high-protein feed

    Experiments at the SEAFDEC Aquaculture Department in Iloilo shows that the native hito grows much faster when fed with formulated feeds with high protein content. After 120 days of culture, the catfish fed with formulated diet containing 34 percent crude protein significantly attained the highest body weight, total body length, daily weight gain, and total production.
