Over 1,500 volunteers took part in a beach clean-up in Borongan City, Eastern Samar Saturday. Cherrie Ann Calacal, president of the Borongan City Tour Guides Association which spearheaded the activity, said aside from the cleanup they wanted to raise awareness among Boronganons especially the youth who visit their park along Baybay village. “When our group was formed in December, our first project was to conduct an information drive to remind the public where to dispose their trash. Then the Manila Bay cleanup happened.
