An international training course on freshwater aquaculture will be held at the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department-Binangonan Station (SEAFDEC AQD BFS) here from April 18 to May 17. The course includes lectures and hands-on training on broodstock (breeder) selection and management, spawning, hatchery, and grow-out techniques of Nile tilapia, bighead carp, and Asian catfish. It also covers fish health management, socioeconomics, and fish nutrition and processing.
