The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Department (Seafdec-AQD) in Tigbauan, Iloilo is set to increase the production of mud crab seeds as it is scheduled to conduct a two-month-long training here. In a press statement issued to the members of the Cagayan Valley media, Seafdec-AQD said the training course is in support of the growing popularity of mud crab production in the country. The training, co-sponsored by the Australian Center for International Aquaculture Research, is open to marginal fish farmers, hatchery operators and technicians, including government extension workers, researchers and fishery technologists.
