    Excerpt
The 12th staging of the prestigious sea sporting event, the 2019 Siargao World Game Fishing Tournament, is set to start next week at the “Paradise Island” of Siargao in Surigao del Norte. The grand opening of the five-day event in the Pacific Ocean-facing town of Pilar will be held on April 11, with competition expected to draw the world’s top anglers from the different parts of the world, like Russia, United Kingdom, Australia, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Europe. The tournament ends April 15. Pilar town is now considered a fast-growing tourist destination in the island, aside from the country’s surfing capital of General Luna town also of that same island.
