    Excerpt
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) yesterday denied China’s claims that the Philippines is building an airport and a port in the disputed West Philippine Sea (South China Sea), branding the allegations unbelievable. “We have an airport on Pagasa which is already existing. What we want to do is to undertake a maintenance. We can’t even do something about our airport here what more in Spratlys,” said DFA Spokesperson Charles Jose in a television interview Thursday. Earlier this week, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei enumerated the reclamation work being done by other claimant nations, including the Philippines, in South China Sea.
