A group of small fishermen is seeking the help of Bacolod City Council against the presence of larger fishing vessels from Cadiz City in the waters off Purok Sigay, Sitio Magsungay, Brgy. Singcang-Airport here. Sigay Small Fisherfolk Association forwarded a petition to the SP opposing the arrival of fishermen from Cadiz City who catch crab using superior fishing boats and gears. SSFA president Ronie Miag-ao said fishermen with larger vessels and superior gears pose unfair competition to them.
