    Excerpt
A recent study by the Institute of Biological Sciences at UP Los Baños has found that the parasitized tilapia may be safer to eat than the unparasitized ones. Why? Because the parasitized fishes have remarkably lower levels of heavy metals in their tissues than the unparasitized ones. Ingesting heavy metals, of course, can be injurious to health.
