    Three towns in the eastern part of Aklan province have been declared under a state of calamity due to massive red tide infestation. Aklan provincial board secretary Odon Bandiola said a resolution has been passed declaring a state of calamity in the towns of Altavas, Batan, and New Washington. Bandiola said the livelihood of at least 2,000 fishermen are already affected.
