    Excerpt
The Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Office of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) cited its public and private sector partners for the “TV White Space (TVWS) Supported Fisher folk Registration in the Danajon Reef.” The initiative won the P3 (public-private partnership) Impact Award, a top honor in the arena of public-private partnership development, at the 2015 Concordia Summit. Employing the technology of unused broadcast frequencies (TVWS), ICTO provided Internet access for the registration of fishermen in six pilot municipalities in Bohol under the USAID’s Ecosystems Improved for Sustainable Fisheries (ECOFISH) Project.
