    Excerpt
Agriculture Undersecretary for Fisheries Cesar Drilon watches seabass (apahap) as they feed at the Igang Marine Substation in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras, of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center-Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC-AQD) based in Tigbauan, Iloilo. The Substation, while serving as research site for broodstock of milkfish, seabass, grouper (lapu-lapu) and snapper (maya-maya) in cages, also demonstrates low-cost cage farming of various fish species appropriate for coastal communities.
