Fifty of the world's top researchers in shrimp and fish viruses met here recently and tackled the disease problems afflicting aquaculture species. The scientific conference was organized by Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center-Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC-AQD) based in Tigbauan town, 41 km west of here and the Office International des Epizooties (OIE). The seminar-workshop was billed "Disease Control in Fish and Shrimp Aquaculture in Southeast Asia: Diagnosis and Husbandry Techniques."
