The resolutions passed during the recently concluded National Shrimp Congress are seen to strengthen the recuperating shrimp industry. The resolutions were made during the July 1-4 congress held at Bacolod Convention Plaza Hotel. Among the resolutions were the (1) recognition of the Philippine Shrimp Industry, Inc. (Philshrimp) as the legitimate and official entity to represent the shrimp industry in the country addressed to the Department of Agriculture (DA); (2) abolition of the Power Purchase Agreement; (3) adherence to environmental sustainability;
