    Excerpt
Provincial tourism and environment officials joined city executives and civil society leaders in signing a declaration for a plastic-free Cebu. The signing was made aboard the Rainbow Warrior, the flagship of the environmental crusading organization Greenpeace. “We are cruising seas and oceans to clean our planet from plastics. Some scientists say in less than 20 years there will be more plastics than fish in the oceans and that 90 percent of plastic thrown in waters turn microscopic,” said Greenpeace Captain Pete Wilcox in a press conference Wednesday.
