Dr. Jurgenne Primavera is going to undertake mangrove conservation programs with her reward. The Filipino scientist who won the world's most prestigious award in marine conservation is going to undertake mangrove conservation programs and projects in Iloilo and Aklan provinces using her $150,000 reward. Jurgenne Honculada Primavera, Ph. D., a senior scientist at the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center in Tigbauan town here, was chosen as one of this year's five Pew Fellows in Marine Conservation.
