A three-day seminar on Mangrove Conservation and Rehabilitation was recently held at the Sampaguita Garden Resort in New Washington town Aklan. The activity, which wrapped up yesterday, aims to promote people's awareness on the need to conserve and rehabilitation highly diversified mangrove areas in the country through the local government. The seminar-workshop was sponsored by the Pew Fellows in Marine Conservation based at the University of Miami, through its Fellow Awardee, Dr. Jurgenne Honculada Primavera, Senior Aquaculture Specialist of Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC).
