The province of Leyte produced the biggest volume of fish in the third quarter of 2018, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) Regional Statistical Service Office. Wilma A. Perante, PSA regional director, said Leyte produced 9,291 metric tons (MT) of fish or 30.1 percent of the region’s output. Samar ranked second with 8,447 MT, while Southern Leyte had the smallest output with 1,222 MT.
