    Holders of wildlife permits previously-issued for the collection or possession of Chinese soft shell turtle, classified as an invasive alien species (IAS), will be subject to stricter monitoring and reporting requirements to ensure that the species do not threaten do not threaten the survival of local wildlife species, the Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau (PAWB) said. PAWB, an agency under the Department of Environment and Natural resources (DENR), noted that the species is abundant in some parts of Central Luzon, and has likely established populations in the provinces of Rizal, Bulacan, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, and Mindoro.
