    Excerpt
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) asked local government units (LGUs) to continue monitoring Samar's Maqueda and Villareal Bays even if the shellfish ban in the area has been lifted. BFAR Regional Director Juan D. Albaladejo said continuous monitoring ensures the safeguarding of public health and protection of the province's shellfish industry.
