Manila Bulletin photographer Keith Bacongco won the Photojournalist of the Year award at the Globe Media Excellence Awards (GMEA) held Wednesday night at the Marco Polo Davao. Bacongco bested other photographers in Mindanao with his photo titled “Back to the Sea.” Now on its sixth year, the Globe Media Excellence Awards began as a search for excellent journalists starting in 2012 and has since had an excellent roster of winners under its wing.
