Typhoon ‘Rosita’ causes ₱131 M in damage to agriculture

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said yesterday that more than P130 million worth of damage was recorded in Northern Luzon as a result of typhoon "Rosita". NDRRMC Executive Director and Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Administrator Ricardo B. Jalad said there was P131,427,646.53 worth of damage of agriculture sector in Region 2 and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) following Rosita's onslaught. Jalad said most of the damage were registered in irrigation, fisheries facilities, infrastructure, equipment, and high value commercial crops (HVCC).
