    Excerpt
The Department of Health yesterday warned the public to be careful about consuming round scad or galunggong that will be imported from China and are suspected to be tainted with formalin. Health Secretary Francisco Duque said fish and other food products are not supposed to contain formalin, which is widely used as a preservative. The Department of Agriculture has said the government will import around 17, 000 MT of galunggong from China, Vietnam, and Taiwan in a bid to control the increasing prices of fish and ensure food security.
