The Chinese fishermen arrested for alleged poaching off Half Moon Shoal in the disputed Spratly Islands will be arraigned today before the Puerto Princesa regional trial court for illegal fishing charges. Palawan provincial prosecutor Allen Ross Rodriguez disclosed that the nine Chinese fishermen would appear before the Puerto Princesa RTC Branch 51 for arraignment proceedings at 8:30 a.m. During the arraignment, the accused would be asked by the trial court to plead guilty or not guilty on the charges to be read to them by the court’s clerk.
