BFAR Region 1 Director Nestor Domenden has already sent out posters identifying these poisonous crabs as the Tergatis floridus and Zozymus aenues. Domenden reiterated the warning yesterday and asked the local BFAR in Pangasinan and other provinces in the region to conduct a thorough inspection of markets where these crabs may be on sale. The warning was first issued by the BFAR following a reported case of poisoning from the crab in La Union.
