Scientists and representatives from the academe and related government agencies and industries gathered here Tuesday for a two –day National Symposium on Fisheries and Aquatic Biotechnology held at Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center Aquaculture Division (SEAFDEC-AQD) in Tigbaun, Iloilo. SEAFDEC-AQD newly installed chief, Dr. Joebert D. Toledo said the symposium is very relevant given that the Department of Agriculture (DA) is “in the process of formulating an integrated 10-year biotechnology RDE program.”
