    Excerpt
The Department of Tourism (DOT) will revise its target for tourist arrivals for Boracay in Aklan. DOT Western Visayas Director Helen Catalbas said the target for this year and onward will be anchored on the update carrying capacity of the resort island, which will be closed for rehabilitation for six months starting April 26. The Western Visayas office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has been updating Boracay's carrying capacity, which looks into the ideal number of people and infrastructure without causing much harm to the natural environment.
