    Excerpt
Thirteen-year-old Shintaro “Shin” Montiero was the youngest participant at the recent 6th Anilao Underwater Shootout, the world’s biggest underwater photography event, held recently in Mabini, Batangas. Organized annually by the Department of Tourism’s (DOT) Dive Philippines, this year’s five-day shootout in the waters of Anilao drew more than 200 participants from all over the world and Shin faced off with long-time experts in the field. But the young diver is without fear. With already 170 dives in and out of the country to his credit, Shin’s passion with diving came from his parents who regularly trained for diving.
