    Excerpt
No significant amount of oil has been found in the retrieval operations by Sonsub vessel Allied Shield from the sunken tanker Solar 1 off Guimaras Island. No oil was found in port tank No. 2 and starboard tank No. 2, the latest tanks to be penetrated on Solar 1. Petron, the owner of the oil on board Solar 1, has been actively involved in the cleanup and rehabilitation of affected areas in Guimaras. The company is likewise in discussions with Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) to establish a mariculture livelihood model farm that will directly benefit fisherfolks.
