    Rey Acap of Oton, Iloilo is a successful adopter of the abalone hatchery technology developed by the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center's Aquaculture Department (SEAFDEC AQD) based in Tigbauan, Iloilo. He can produce 25,000 to 35, 000 juveniles every month which are stocked in specially-designed [lastic containers suspended from outdoor floating cages and grown to a market-sized of five to six centimeters shell length in about 10 months.
