The First National Aquaculture Summit will be held on July 7-8, 2016 at the Leisure Coast Resort in Dagupan City under the auspices of the Philippine Association of Fish Producers, Inc. (PAFPI) together with the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). This was announced by Joseph Martin H. Borromeo, PAFPI national president, who said the theme is “Market Oriented Aquaculture, Key to Viable and Resilient Industry.”Borromeo said that it is about time the players in the aquaculture industry worked together as one to address the various concerns like high cost of feeds, high cost of electricity, inefficient marketing and other problems.
