    Excerpt
Over a thousand fishermen in Negros and Panay Islands who lost their bancas- an essential work tool- from super typhoon Yolanda that ravaged parts of the Visayas in November last year are now back at sea fishing, thanks to a volunteer group's efforts in sourcing fund donations to build motorized boats for the livelihood-displaced fishermen. As of last count, 1,400 boats have been built and turned over to fishermen who have sought the help of the Negrense Volunteers for Change(NVC) Foundation under the NVC's Peter Project whose first recipients, when project was first created, were helpers of fishermen who have acquired enough skills to go on their own but lacked funds to purchase their own fishing boats.
