Davao City- The Department of Agriculture will hand over 300 motorized fishing bancas to fisherfolk in the City in time for the 31st Kadayawan festival from August 15 to August 21. DA Secretary Emmanuel Piñol said bancas will come with a complete set of fishing tools. Each fishing boat, which is made of fiberglass, costs P70,000 each. Piñol said they will give one banca to be shared by two families, who will be responsible for taking care of the fishing boat.
