    Biliran waters still red tide infested

    The coastal waters of Biliran remain positive for paralytic shellfish poison based on the latest laboratory results from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) and local government units. Biliran Provincial Fisheries Officer Nelia Tomayao said the ban on selling and consumption of all types of shellfish gathered from Naval, Biliran, Cabucgayan, Caibiran, Culaba, Kawayan, Almeria and Maripipi stands. The waters in these areas have been infected with the red tide toxin since March, Tomayao said.
