local.seafdecaqd.extract | The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Region 4A (BFAR-4A) has warned local government units (LGUs) surrounding Taal Lake of a possible fish kill as the temperature continues to drop since November. BFAR-4A issued Advisory No. 12, Series of 2017 last December 12, stating that the drop in temperature of the water since the onset of the cold north easterly wind in November can lead to sulfur upwelling which may kill the fish. BFAR has recorded 5,559 fish cages in Taal Lake. | en |
