| local.description | The Russian government is neutral on the West Philippine Sea territorial dispute between the Philippines and China but is supportive of a peaceful settlement in accordance with international law. This was stressed by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Senate President Franklin M. Drilon when the latter, along with other Philippine officials, met with Russian officials in Moscow.
